Delhi Health Department: In view of the rapid increase in the cases of Coronavirus in Delhi for the last few days, the Health Department has directed hospitals, polyclinics and dispensaries to increase the investigation. According to the Health Department of the Delhi Government, on Friday, the maximum number of 733 daily cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Delhi in the last seven months. Along with this, two patients died.
Sources said that the Delhi Health Department has directed hospitals, polyclinics and dispensaries to increase Covid testing. A source said, “These health centers have been told to get a Covid test done on arrival of any patient with symptoms like fever, cough, body ache, as the number of daily cases is increasing continuously.”
So far 26,536 people have died due to corona in Delhi
According to Friday’s health bulletin, the death toll from Kovid-19 in Delhi is currently 26,536 and so far 20,13,403 people have been affected by the infection. Amid the sudden increase in the cases of H3N2 influenza in the country, new cases of Kovid have also increased rapidly in the last several days.
Government is taking all necessary steps – CM Kejriwal
At the same time, amidst the increasing cases of corona in Delhi, the government has said that it is monitoring the situation. After chairing a review meeting on the Covid situation last week, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that there is nothing to worry about as of now and the government is taking all necessary steps. Amidst the increase in corona cases in Delhi, experts said that the new XBB.1.16 version is responsible for this increase. However, he has said that there is no need for people to panic and Kovid should follow appropriate behaviour.
